This pre-workout smoothie will provide you with the high power and sustainable energy you need for your next workout. While cereal and milk or plain oats may work well for some workouts, this smoothie is easy to get down and PACKED with vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients your body needs to perform and feel its best. This is best eaten 2-3 hours pre workout. It could also work great as a breakfast!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cup water
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 small handful of spinach
- 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
- ½ cup quick oats
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- Optional: top with granola, honey, coconut flakes, cocoa nibs
Instructions:
- Pour water in a blender.
- Add all other ingredients to blender. Start on low and ramp up to high power until blended to personal preference of smoothness. If you’d like it to be a thinner consistency or if the blender is having a hard time blending, add more water.
